Alice Lewis
Alice qualified as an optometrist in 1983 following degree studies at The City University, London and a pre-registration year in the ophthalmology department of St Mary’s Hospital, Colchester.
She moved to South Wales in 1984 to marry Robin (a Welsh man from Caerphilly) and they started the practice together in 1988.
Alice is accredited by Wales Eye Care Services both to provide the Eye Health Examination Wales and as a Low Vision Practitioner.
She has a special interest in fitting multi-focal contact lenses.
David Taylor
David joined the practice as a locum optometrist in 2014. He graduated from Cardiff University in 2008 with a degree in Optometry and Visual Sciences.
David is accredited by Wales Eye Care Services both to provide the Eye Health Examination Wales and as a Low Vision Practitioner.
Additionally he has a Professional Certificate in Glaucoma and is currently studying for a post graduate qualification in Medical Retina.
Lorna Postians
Lorna joined us in 2009 as an Optical Assistant .
Subsequently she studied for a Fellowship Diploma in Ophthalmic Dispensing and qualified as a Fellow of the Dispensing Opticians in 2013.
Dianne Tucker
Dianne joined us the first day we opened back in 1988. She works as an Optical Assistant.
She has a particular interest in frames and would be pleased to help you chose the perfect style.
Dawn Williams
Dawn first joined us in 2005 in our workshop and then in 2008 became an Optical Assistant in Bargoed Sight Centre.
Dawn is our IT expert and keeps the accounts in order.
